Cambridge University Press announces new partnership with Digital Theatre+ widening access to filmed world-class theatre for schools, globally

Cambridge University Press will be working with Digital Theatre+ to bring filmed theatre to classrooms across Australia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, the Middle East and North Africa from January 2020.

Digital Theatre+ is an innovative digital platform that brings filmed live theatre performances and an extensive range of specialist interactive teaching materials directly into the classroom. It was named “Best Arts Resource 2018” by ‘Tech for Teachers’, and shortlisted for “Best International Digital Education Resource” at the Bett Awards 2019.

Digital Theatre+ is the perfect addition to the Cambridge IGCSE™, A Level Literature in English series and Cambridge School Shakespeare series, or any other study of classic and contemporary dramatic work – delivering a powerful package of interactive classroom resources to create the most engaging literature lessons.

“Our students can enrich their understanding of the texts we are studying by watching a wide range of adaptations and even engage with the actors through the many interviews and other resources available on the site.” - English Teacher, The British School of Gran Canaria

“Teachers in schools around the world are always looking for ways to make the learning experience as effective and enjoyable as possible. Live performance is a great way to enrich English learning and we are delighted to be able to offer this benefit of the Digital Theatre+ experience to our customers, thanks to this new agreement.” – Matthew Walker, Cambridge Learning Schools Publishing Director

Digital Theatre+’s CEO Neelay Patel said, “Cambridge University Press’s quality teaching resources combined with our expertly filmed theatre productions and associated teaching materials makes the perfect learning experience for any school across the globe.”
